Six Sigma Total Quality Management
(TQM)
Six Sigma / TQM ThreadThe tools used to
reduce variation and process time (Six Sigma, Lean & Cycle
Time Reduction) work equally well for large and small businesses,
production or transaction centered. Where a larger company
may train its own staff in these tools, a smaller company
can get just as much benefit from using an outside consultant.
At Sympraxis we tailor a solution to fit your need, what ever
your size.
We work with company executives and managers to identify areas
for improvement projects. We can teach members of your staff
to facilitate improvement sessions or we can facilitate them
for you. Our objective is to develop the skills on your staff
to continue improvements after the first project. Many times,
improvements made in the first project are able to fund improvements
in other parts of the company.
Under the Whole Business Concept™ we are able to work
at any level in the company to assist them in achieving maximum
benefit. This can include leadership development to assist
them in change management and planning to ensure they identify
and address all the areas for improvement leading to gains
in the bottom line.

Business Process Improvement
The key to business process improvement
is alignment between an organization's strategy, it's people
and it's processes with the primary focus on the external
customer. When these critical three components operate together,
focusing on the needs and wants of the customer, the possibilities
are endless.
The methods and tools listed here are designed to assist an
organization in reaching this level of alignment.

Black Belt Training
We believe that creating successful Black
Belts requires more than just teaching them statistical and
process tools. A successful Black Belt must be able to relate
to all levels of the organization, communicate effectively
one-on-one and through presentations, and possess the leadership
skills to help an organization through the often stressful
change process. The Sympraxis training program works to address
all these needs. In addition, we customize our training program
to address any specific issues unique to your company. We
also make our staff available after the training is completed
to provide support to the new Black Belts.

Lean/Cycle Time Reduction
We provide training to develop teams that
reduce the time and cost of processes. The skills work for
any kind of process including manufacturing, service and transactional
processes. We can also train facilitators within your company
to train and guide process improvement teams.

Organizational Assessment
Successful organizations are continually
looking for ways to improve in order to gain a competitive
advantage. Two critical questions often asked by senior management
are: How do we know that resources are being properly allocated?
And how can we better utilize our limited resources? These
questions moved us to examine the whole issue of the critical
elements which contribute to organizational success. We discovered
that when an organization's systems and departments are aligned,
the greater their success. We know that the interrelationships
of processes and departments within an organization are an
important element in determining overall success.
If the marketing and R&D departments are both strong,
but they are not working together, the result will be the
identification of products or services that no one wants.
By the same token, if an organization's structure does not
support its strategy, the organization is out of alignment
and the strategy will probably not be achieved. Organizations
that learn to identify new relationships between what they
do and the results they seek can widen the gap between themselves
and their competitors. This is important in today's business
environment. Constant radical change, uncertainty, new rules
and regulations, increased customer demands, and "alphabet
soup programs" proliferate our daily business environment.
Manage these factors and thriving under these conditions requires
that your organization be aligned.

D.I.AL.O.G. (Data Indicating Alignment
of Organizational Goals)
is an organizational assessment
tool that provides information about how well critical elements
are working together to achieve your business and strategic
goals. D.I.AL.OG also identifies which of these critical elements
are working against you. Our approach is unique in that we
measure the interrelationships of the essential elements which
are predictors of future strength. We are not concerned with
measuring communication for communication’s sake, but
rather how effectively an organization is communicating to
its employees. Our approach is outcome focused and does not
simply measure non-relevant activities.
